Nvidia executive Madison Huang to visit Seoul for robotics push

Nvidia is deepening its ties with Korean manufacturers to advance physical AI, robotics, and factory automation.

The short version

Why it matters

This move signals that Nvidia is moving beyond just selling chips to providing the full software and simulation ecosystem for industrial automation. For Korean companies, it means deeper integration into Nvidia's tools for manufacturing and robotics.

A strategic visit to Seoul

Madison Huang, the senior director of product marketing for Nvidia's Omniverse and robotics division, is scheduled to visit Seoul next month. As reported by The Korea Herald, she will attend Nvidia AI Day Seoul 2026, which takes place at the Coex convention center on November 9 and 10.

While Huang is not officially listed as a speaker for the event, she is expected to participate in various meetings and networking activities. This trip represents her fourth visit to South Korea this year, highlighting the chip giant's intensifying focus on the region's industrial landscape.

The visit comes as Nvidia seeks to strengthen its presence in Korea's robotics and manufacturing sectors. By engaging directly with local leaders, Nvidia aims to solidify its role as a primary provider of the technology needed for the next generation of automated production.

Expanding beyond the chip

Nvidia is increasingly looking to expand its business model beyond the sale of semiconductors and basic AI infrastructure. The company is now aggressively pursuing partnerships in robotics, autonomous driving, and factory automation to create a more comprehensive ecosystem for its clients.

A key part of this strategy involves the Omniverse platform, which allows companies to create digital twins or simulations of robots and manufacturing facilities. By testing these systems in a virtual environment first, companies can identify errors before deploying physical hardware in a real-world factory.

Additionally, Nvidia provides Isaac tools, which are specialized software packages designed to support robot development and training. These tools allow engineers to train robots to perform complex tasks, which is a core component of what the industry calls physical AI.

Key Korean industrial partners

Several major Korean conglomerates are already working with Nvidia to integrate these technologies into their core operations. In August, LG Group signed an agreement with Nvidia that covers robotics, AI factories, and future mobility, including the development of humanoid robots.

Doosan Group is also involved in the transition, currently developing an agentic robot operating system using Nvidia technology. Agentic AI refers to systems capable of taking independent actions to achieve specific goals, which is a significant step up from simple automated scripts.

Hyundai Motor Group is planning a massive infrastructure project to build an AI factory. This facility is expected to be powered by 50,000 Nvidia GPUs, showcasing the scale of computing power required to run modern industrial automation.

Previous engagement and momentum

Huang has been a frequent point of contact for Korean tech executives throughout the past year. In April, she met with leadership from Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, LG Electronics, Hyundai Motor, and Doosan Robotics to discuss cooperation on physical AI projects.

Her involvement in these discussions is personal as well as professional, as she is the daughter of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. She accompanied her father during his visit to Korea in June and toured an LG Electronics robot-training data factory in August.

These repeated interactions suggest a long-term commitment to the Korean market. By maintaining a consistent presence, Nvidia is positioning itself as a primary collaborator for Korea's transition toward high-tech manufacturing and autonomous systems.

What to expect at AI Day

The upcoming Nvidia AI Day Seoul will serve as a hub for these ongoing discussions. The event will feature 15 sessions dedicated to physical AI, agentic AI, and AI infrastructure on the first day of the conference.

The second day will shift toward more hands-on learning, featuring technical workshops and networking opportunities for startups. This structure allows both large corporations and smaller innovators to engage with Nvidia's technology at different levels of expertise.

About 20 companies, including Naver Cloud, Samsung, and SK hynix, will participate as partners in the event. This gathering will likely serve as a venue for Huang to further her discussions on how these technologies will be deployed in Korean factories and streets.
